How do you save?

Saving is a great habit of life. But expenses is a never ending event of our life. I noticed that if earning increase then expenses also increases with that. We think that when we earn more than now, we can make a saving for our future. Many times some unexpected expenses we have to face.
Last month it was my uncle's marriage. There was spent a huge money for that. If occasion like that comes once or twice in a year, we have to forget about saving.
How do you save money?

hello there!
actually, i am someone who's not good when it comes to saving...coz i have the tendency of spending the money that i have when i see that something is needed to be bought in the house, or when someone needs my help financially i will definitely help even if i don't have much money...
but right no, i am trying to be more effective in saving, and the way i do it now is when my husband gave me his salary, i separate first the money that we will be using for the church and then the money that i will be saving...and the money left after getting those amounts will be the amount that i will budget for our other expenses...so far its being effective and i just hope that there's no incident to come that will make me spend those amount that i am saving coz we really have plan for the money that e will going to save this year...

I have different accounts, so I use one for saving. I also have a piggy-bank, so I save most of my coins and put them on the account I use for travels.
I like to have so much money that in case something happens (dishwaster breaks down etc), then I have enough money to get it fixed.
