Someone's birthday is today and I thought a poem would be fitting,what do you think of it?
[b]Roses are red
Violets are blue
Today is dawnald's birthday
Let's all go to the ZOO!!!![/b]
So do you like it? Do you think it is fitting for her? Since she is queen of the Roses are red poems and all.

How fitting to do a "Roses are red" for Dawn on her birthday.
She is the Queen of them, but as her adoring subjects, we can all add our tributes.
Roses are red,
Dawn is true blue.
When all else is said,
She's a friend ever true.
Roses are red,
But Dawn loves purple.
If this goes to her head,
We'll still love her enurple.
(What rhymes with purple?)

Wonderful Cloudwatcher! And I agree Dawn is a truly amazing friend.
I am not sure what rhymes with purple? I think that is why I stuck with the short poem myself.

Thank you I enjoyed writing it and I hope she likes it too. I thought the Zoo part was funny to add and since she has an awesome sense of humor that she would enjoy that as well.

well now...
Husband got me an Allan Sherman boxed set (he was a comedian who set his own words to familiar songs). When I turned my car on, one of the songs was on the radio and for a second there I was convinced he had slipped one of the cds in.

Yeah, I got stuck on one of those trying to rhyme with purple, so now I try to creatively include it on a line where I do not have to try to find a rhyme for it. Besides, Irish was talking about "boozing it up", and Purple Passion is a drink. I have never tried it, but I hear that it is good.
