I know every child has some fears. When I was a child I was afraid to sleep in my bedroom, because there was a closet with a hole in it.I used to imagine an eye peeking through the hole at me.I used to think someone was in the closet.I remember being very afraid.I was also afraid of the dark.I always thought someone was in my bedroom that I couldn't see.I had quite a few fears, but don't remember all of them, just a couple.I felt safer and braver when my parents allowed me to have a dog.The dog slept with me all the time.Do you remem ber any of your childhood fears you had?

when I was a kid I was afraid that someone was going to reach up under the covers and drag me out of bed lol, totally whacko lol, but to this day I sleep with the cover's tucked up under my feet lol, so stranger how what happened in the past affects what you do in the present.

When I was a kid i also scared to look under my bed because I always remember the movie bogieman. I really scared in that movie but that movie gives a good lesson to me. Which is to face your fear and conquer your fear no matter what happen. Which is really true!

the incredible hulk television show! when it would come on, I would run to my parents room and start crying! so did my cousin too. a couple years later I started watching it and now its my favorite tv show of all time. on you tube lots of guys talk about being scared of the hulk on tv during the 80's; one guy said when he was about 7 his older brother told him the hulk was in their house looking for him! he hid under his bed all night!

When I was a kid I'm really affraid of monsters, ghost and dark spirits. That's why I do not like to be alone on dark places. Then there are times that I dream of scary things, then I just wake up because I do not want to be affraid. By the way, as i remember the reason why i became affraid in scary things is because of my friend who always tell a story about it and the movie that i watched. That's why it always play in my mind. Honestly, i haven't see any of ghost, monster and dark spirits yet. Then I do not want to see them no matter what happen. Well, even though I'm scared of those creatures? I just still want to resist my fear and fight it. I think if I can able to fight it, I will no longer fear them. Then I can be able to stay alone in dark place. I remember my father told me to pray everytime I feel scared. He said to me that it will removed my fear or things that i'm affraid.

When I was a child ,I don't think I knew to pray, but I do now when I have any fears. It makes me feel comfort and the fear goes away.so praying does help. Thanks for your response.

I was really afraid of sitting and standing near windows for a time when I was a child. I thought that someone was going to shoot me from outside. Paranoid, perhaps, but when I was a child, it was a rather real fear. Also, my wall in my room spooked me, because the way the boards were arranged, it looks like a creepy face is staring at me. That can play tricks on the mind of a four year old to say the least.

A lot of things. lol I was afraid of the dark, small spaces, all the usual things. Some stranger things were getting lost in stores, I suppose I new I could be reunited with my family afterwards but I was still afraid to get separated from them temporarily because I knew that could become permanent and would be really scary either way.

I too was afraid of the dark, terribly and Im an adult now and I still am! I had to have my whole body undercovers even my head and would begin to sweat, the more I thought about being scared the more scared I got and eventually I had to call my mom and would only yell her name so she could come get me before I would get up and get in bed with my parents. I hated the feeling of being scared and I hated sweating under them covers, I was convinced something was going to touch my feet if they dare peek out the covers. I was also afraid of insects horribly and probably am more now than when I was young, I could probably swat a mosquito but thats it. Also when I was little I was afraid of the woods, I was convinced there was something watching me everytime.

Hi, Java09. When I was a child my uncle and aunts would tell us that if we be bad that the ghostaliva was going to get us. We was scared!!! We actually believed them when they told us this. My uncles and grandma had a mask that had an ugly witch face that looked very ghoulish and my uncle would scare us with it. When I think about it now, it was really funny. We always believed that if we were bad, then the ghostaliva would pay us a visit. We tried our best to be good and on our best behavior. This was the fear that I know that used to scare me as a child.

to be honest i was afraid of just about everything. something being underneath my bed at night, going down in the basement alone, afraid my parents would die and on and on. it is a good thing though because i am much more sesitive to my own childs fears as a result and i can really relate to what he is afraid of. i also have the confidence to tell him that we outgrow many, if not all of our childhood fears.

Most of Us when a child was afraid about a ghost whether a story or just a tale. The best thing is, that fear didn't effect to me right now.Even some of my friends still feel it.

i had a fear of street dogs right from my childhood---i still remember that scary scene in the nearby park when two stray dogs were at my back and i had to run so hard through the trees and jumping over the bushes ohh i cant get over that night mare and still i get to remember all those when i see stray dogs but i manage to stand still until they pass by.I never had any scary dreams in my childhood they were filled with cartoons which i enjoyed the most.great day.

When a child is very small that is he/she lacks basic understanding of the world around them, they do not even understand the meaning of fear. As this child grows up on a diet of stories, TV shows, movies etc. ,he/she understands what fear is. Most of the time it is the parents and teachers at school who inflict certain fears in the child to prevent him/her from doing certain things. What i mean by my point is that children are born fearless but the world around them teaches them the meaning of fear. As a child i was scared of staying alone at home as i feared some ugly monster had entered my home and lurking in some dark corner, waiting to pounce on me just like what shown in those horror movies!

When I was a child I am afraid of ghosts, monsters under the bed and the dark. I am also afraid of lizards, rats and frogs. I'm still scared of these three creatures even until now. I'm afraid of them because of how they look and I find them yucky especially the texture of their sin. I can't imagine myself being near to them especially touch or feel their skin against mine. I might die!

Hi Java09! When I was a kid, I used to be afraid of walking alone in the dark, bugs and big dolls. When walking in the dark, I think there is someone behind my back or following me. I hated big dolls because I thought that they will come alive at night. And of course I don't like creepy bugs, they give me quite a scare. Happy mylotting!

When I was a child, well until now... I am afraid of any reptiles and amphibians. I am really afraid of them especially snakes, lizards, and fogs... I don't know why. I am thinking that they are very harmful for me even if I could see other people are holding them like a pet.
