Expectations was not too high

I had recently ordered a textbook for school off of amazon. It had described the book as very good. Being that it said that is was in very good shape I was expecting to receive a book in very good shape. Not the case. I receive the book and sure the outside of the book seemed in pretty good shape. However, the book as a whole was not. I flipped through the book and some of the pages have already been separated from the spine. I don't believe that it is missing any pages. But I think that with selling books they should be truthful as to it's real condition or have a comment of it's condition. Anybody have a similar experience with buying anything used online?

i bought a college text book once off amazon from under the 'used' section and even though the book was in okay condition all the answers where in the book and the disc that went with it was missing. Although i was tempted to use the answers i felt cheated somehow like what was the point of learning it with it spelled out for me. Best thing to do is just buy it from ebay. i have never had a bad experience from them when buy books.

That must have made it a little hard I would think to learn with the answers written on there. I personally never right in textbooks. Just because that isn't where I keep my notes. I never really thought about buying with ebay. I was kind of running out of time so I probably wouldn't have had time to compare prices anyway. But I think I will consider that for the next semester.
