Well, it collects money from us, so that it has money to build new hospitals, schools, streets and many other thing, but question is it is doing it. Because in my country we pay high taxes, but have bad ways with many holes on them and it is very difficult to drive!

In a democratic country,it is said that the government is run by the public and for the public. That is to mean, the tax collected should be spent for the welfare of us.But the sad part is,the officers spend a lot on their offices and their welfare. They increase their comfort and do not care much about the last common man.But it is our representatives, who we elected, doing this.

The government tax the people so that it has money to operate for the good of the whole country. The government collects money, part of which will be used for the implementation of projects for the people, other amounts can be used for the people working in the government that provides services, and others for other purposes. Without the collection of taxes, the government will not succeed in their programs for the people. Good day.

Aye, the government collects taxes from us then pays for police, roads, military, education and other things. I do not mind the government paying for things that are really needed. There are some things though we do not really need. Sometimes there is wasteful spending.
