what functions your business cards ?

'Everybody wants to be famous", ever heard this term? Yep! Could be interpreted everyone needs known by others. One of the media so we known is through business cards. Conscious or not, business cards can talk representing many of us. Each of us is a unique individual and special which can be represented by the display card that we handed to the person other. Opportunities can be created through a card.
So .. according to you, what is true the business card storing your business potential?

When I had my own business, the cards served as way to let people know what I did and how to get hold of me should they desire the work I did. And for those first-timers, who we hope will contact us again, a business card is good to give them so that they will know how to do so.
They are also handy to pass out to associates or to potential clients/customers.
