Is Mark McGwire in Deniel About How Much Steroids Helped HIm?

Yes I absolutely believe hes in deniel although hes admitted taken steroids. He seems to believe it didn't help his stats but only his recovery. He went on to say his God given talent is the only thing that contributed to his 70 home run season and the steroids had nothing to do with it. The fact is his home run numbers went up after he started using steroids. Remember back in 1998 he said he was using androstenedione(back then legally sold) to help with his performance but in reality that was just a cloak to hide behind the fact he was using much more powerful substances being the steroids and even human growth hormone. I knew once McGwire pleaded the 5th in front of congress he did use steroids but should he had been more forthcoming when it came to the steroids doing more besides just speeding up his recovery?
