Purchased my pc with XP instead of Vista because I heard it was awful. Should I upgrade to windows 7 or stay with XP? Anyone with windows 7 have anything to say about it?

Linux is great I was using Ubuntu however if you are not really wanting to resolve problems or look through linux forums on a regular basis just choose windows and keep things simple, XP is my fav still did use Vista and have used 7 but still go back to XP its clean simple and easy to use and pretty stable, go with what you know

I think you should upgrade to windows 7. You were right when u took xp over vista as it was very buggy, but windows 7 is a very stable and efficient OS. I also downgraded XP after i used vista for some weeks out of frustration. But now im hooked to windows 7, here are the reasons. 1. It got all the eyecandy of Vista and the stability of XP. 2. Its not a system resource eater like vista, its really light. its running in my 3 year old Athlon 64,512 mb ddr Ram machine without an issue(vista didnt). 3. Security, this is a major point. vista is secure as a Linux/Mac, you can find the proofs in various reviews. Here XP really get kicked, its a very insecure OS. 4. There is a large set of nifty features you will enjoy and use in Windows 7. 5. user-friendliness is more fine tuned in windows 7 than XP. Installing is a breeze and using too.

I suggest that you should keep Windows XP in your system and install Windows 7 and use it as dual boot system. In this case you'll have both XP and Windows 7 running on your system. When you need to work on XP, just start Xp and when Windows 7 then just start Windows 7. In this case, you can yourself find any difference between them. I've too done this in my system.I've installed 2 OS in my system. One in XP 32 bit and other is Windows 7 32 bit Ultimate. There are few games and softwares which didn't run in Windows 7, so i have to keep XP for those task. You can also try this one. It's not difficult. If you need any help then i can help you. Good Luck.

The look and feel which u get in Win7 or vista is completely different as compared to Win XP. Well, if ur system's configuration well supports Win 7, i'd recommend you to get upgraded to Win 7 or Vista atleast. Common man.! How long will u work on older version..? Just get on with the market and be upgraded n u can find da difference.. Cheers.!
