That is a wonderful program you are doing. Helping children in need ! One way you can raise fund is to have a website and place the message about the activities and efforts of your group. People from around your country and around the world will come in and make donations after they read the message. That's the way organizations like Red Cross is raising funds ! I have been making donations to Red Cross online at the website.

Well, I don’t have any fund raising ideas coz I horrible in business and money making matters…however, you can do a round of your locality in an auto and make people aware of your plans and fix a date when you can go round collecting whatever people might want to donate. Since its for kids, donations can be in the form of books, copies, stationery items, old clothes, edibles, toys etc. I am sure that even if people don’t want to give money, they’ll have no problems in giving in kind…these go a long way in helping the underprivileged. However, if you are part of Rotary Club, fund should not be too much of a problem, isn’t it?

Nice to know that youngsters are involved in social work. There are countless areas where one can contribute. There are these stray dogs which have got a bad name all because they have no homes. Dogs can be assets to society if properly nurtured. Housing societies can adopt these strays and they can be wonderful 'watchdogs' and children also love to play with pets. They could be neutred or spayed as the case may be so that they do not breed. They should given their regular shots for rabies and other illnesses.

Hello, Fund Rasing Idea that I can give you is not much but I hope it will help you. You can buy some candy and sell them in front of supermarket... kids will work really good on selling these candies. Another thing, you can go place to place asking for money. Most of the time when my kid's school need some fund then I just put out a can and ask for money.

Fund raising ideas: 1) Hold a silent auction. Have community business donate items and then auction them off. 2) Have a dinner and dance. 3) Hold a car wash. 4) Have a bake sale. Community service actions: 1) Clean/repair an elderly persons home. 2) Serve dinner at a soup kitchen. 3) Work with an orphanage/homeless shelter to teach people to read. Those are my favorite things in the fund raising and community service actions that we do locally. The community service projects do not need to cost alot of money to complete; they simply need for someone to be willing to give of their time.

first: to create and impact you should think of a project that last and deemed important in the community where you are in. Education for example - support youth who want to go to school and he finish. that, he will never forget you for the rest of his life. livelihood - if in your community there are women who just became a place housewife, create an opportunity for them to earn a living by engaging in livelihood training programs. for men - help them know the skills training program provided by your government and introduce them to it. motivate them! second: there are Non-government agencies who support projects mentions above, try to find one and engage their support. lobby in your government offices, present you program, they might be convince and support you. above all just be creative in finding resources, there are a lot around, just need to be tapped. Good Luck!

just a couple of ideas- maybe I can give more later - but this came as I was reading yr topic- maybe you can start soem sort of an activity center in the evenings or afternoons for underprivileged kids- say between age of 3-7 or so; for maybe an hour to 2 hrs each time - at least the parents will have some rest that time - by activity I mean something like creative handwork, or painting, learning songs, dances, games, etc. etc - these poor kids need some sort of pass time - otherwise they end up as anti- socials later in life, and this is not very costly in terms of 'seed-money' as you can have that activcity center even in parks, public places. And if you approach reputed firms in Navi Mumbai I am sure they will pitch in with finances too- most agree for good causes. And Rotaract club has goodwill too. And in Navi Mumbai there are lots of open places unlike here in Mumbai so space sholud not be a problem- and then the police and NGOs, municipal depts.etc. will also help in such good causes
