A discussion that need a relevant sources need to have a link from other websites to prove the comments, discussion or opinions as needed if their is a need for other sources. However, I could see other have copy and paste the link from other sources for more than 4 paragraph composed of more than 1000 word. What confusing they are not call as plagiarism but they earn from the other ideas copying almost the full length of the whole articles not just quoting a few words even though their is accompanying link it is obvious others are deprive as they only quotes few words. Do you think it is better to link and copy paste at full length which is quite confusing as I thought you just have to link the sites or quotes few words and yet they copy and paste long articles as I have seen in other discussion. Or their is a need to keep it at minimum paragraph. What do you think about it, Kindly shares your opinion? Does it necessary to copy and paste at full length paragraph from other websites even with link filling the comments section at full length? Are those allow to copy and paste then link at full length? or their is a limit on it or it does not matter at all?

The Guidelines are clear: "DON'T Post copyrighted articles or photos please link to them." There is a case for quoting a sentence or two from an article and that is allowed under copyright law provided that it is made clear that it is a quotation and, preferably, the source of the quotation is provided as a link. If you have seen discussions where many paragraphs have been copied and pasted as discussions or responses, you should really report them as plagiarism, whether they have a link or not. Admin will then decide whether or not they violate the Guidelines. In general, one should try to keep a discussion topic descriptive but, at the same time, as brief as possible. As a general rule, most people do not like to read more than two or three paragraphs of discussion topic and will either not respond or may respond to only what they have read.

Hi owlwing, yeah, i read it and it is well said though other have link their sources and the only problem they copy the whole articles with long paragraph just to support their reply to a discussion or from a poster side as a reply to their respondents. I think many still not yet aware of this and they think if they reach 500 post they are all given the full rights to copy and paste with link their sources which now very clear as you specify from the guidelines. The only thing it does not mention for how many paragraph are allow to be copy and paste. Now it is clear copy and paste only a few words as in quoting and have the rest of the explanation from the own words of the poster and respondents which are allow. thanks for your sharing your opinion.

neelianoscet we are not acc ording to mylot admins to post word for word long pargraphs that are just copying the article. that is plagiarism and will be deleted,we must digest that material and put it in our own words, if its very long just put in a link with a few words of your own explaining what you have learned,do not just copy that is plagiarism and is not allowed.

hi hatley, Now I know and it really drives me to confusion as I sen others ahve copy full articles just to support her replies from their discussion or in reverse type the respondents just to support her reply to the poster they copy and paste full length paragraph with link on the end of their paragraph. They are so long so it becomes so easy for them to earn not just quoting a sources. Your reply get me a clear understanding then it is fine to put few words based from the sources but not copying the whole sources. thanks for sharing your view about this inquiry of mine.

If you see others copying whole articles then there should be no confusion. It is a violation of the Guidelines and as such should be reported. Those users are taking away earnings from honest users, another reason to report them.

hi mysdianait, Yeah, i do see many times when I browse other discussion and not only newbie do it also a old lotter which i thought they are more have knowledge about this guidelines. maybe, they think it is alright to post the link in their sources to explain their sides but one could notice it is copy and paste with url consisting of the whole paragraph from the source websites, not based on their own wording. Thanks for clearing out aside my doubt with the right way to copy and paste.

yeah, but now it is clarify all paragraph copy from other websites even if the poster or the respondents provide link is now call as plagiarism and the safest way to do is to quote the sources in your own words.
