its now e day and age where virtually everything goes virtual.. right from ordering your supplies online to registering your kid for classes online.seems like things that were previously thought only possible done by physically doing are very much replaced by the magical click of e mouse literally. i remembered how excited i was as a kid to receive and send xmas cards when xmas was round the corner. the anticipation at e mailboxes awaiting for xmas cards from friends certainly added to e festive mood. but as time passes i realise e number of xmas cards i receive is gradually replaced by virtual e cards i receive online. no more shopping for xmas cards, no more waiting frantically at mailboxes, no more making self-designed cards... all i receive is tons of cards in my inbox waiting to be 'read' and 'fwd' =p

Yes, in the past, I will be so excited whenever there are festivals going on here because part of the celebration process for me was to mail and receive cards. But since like years ago, the only real card that I received now is from my insurance agent wishing me a Happy Birthday. However, nowadays, with messaging applications and service so widely available and used, I don't even get many e-cards. Most of my friends either drop me a greeting message on my msn that very day of the celebration or simply send me via an SMS of the same context. Thus, the process of waiting for the cards at my real mailbox are almost to 0.

well on a lighter note, maybe our dear mail men will be much happier with a much lighter workload as compared to earlier days =)

Hm... But I always see the mail lady appearing very tired from cycling all the way to my block. I wondered does the post office suffers a lot since nowadays less people from the public adopts snail mails. Cheers

I know how the world is becoming, but cards real cards, are baught and sold everyday. The selection at our local publix seems to always be fully stalked. FGeorge and I send his family members cards through snail mail, and we recieve them as well. But, that's about it. I'm happy enough with that.
