Hi friends, I am so very worried about my 15 year old daughter. She has always had a problem with stressing about her dad or I dying. She gets herself into quite a panic sometimes. Well unfortunately on Christmas Eve morning, her favorite uncle suddenly died from a massive heart attack in his sleep. Now she is worse than ever. I have made an appointment with the doctor for her. In the meantime, I can't deal with the thought of death myself, how the heck can I lessen her fear when I can't lessen my own. There just is no easy way to deal with death. Also I remember doing the same thing when I turned around 12 years of age. I would cry at night as she does worrying about my parents demise. Somehow I did manage to get through both parents deaths and it was every bit as hard as I thought it would be. I just lost my dad in May 2009. I don't think that has helped her either. Anyone else out there have kids that are terrified of losing you? Cheryl

Well, my baby is still in my tummy so I wouldn't know if he would feel the same way. lol. But yeah, I did feel the same way as your daughter for my parents. I fear of losing them and I cry whenever I think of that happening. I guess just be there for her, I mean right now to cope up with her uncle...and try explaining that things are just like that. We all end up that way. Hope things would be okay with your daughter.
