From Soap Central today: [i]For the second time in about a week, All My Children has announced the return of a fan-favorite performer. Two-time Emmy winner Cady McClain will return to the ABC soap later this year in the iconic role of Dixie Cooney. Unanswered is whether or not Dixie is alive or dead. "We just made a deal for Cady to come back for a short run and do a story with Tad," ABC Daytime President Brian Scott Frons told Soaps In Depth. [/i] I think she has to be a ghost. Otherwise, Tad wouldn't let her go. Also, if she were alive, she wouldn't leave JR until she was sure he was cancer free and healthy. What do you think?

I think Cady McClain out to beg the people at ABC to make her role on All My Children permanent. The way soap operas are being canceled, she's lucky to have some history with that show. Even if her role as Dixie is temporary, she's at least got a "leg up" over other unemployed soap actors/actresses.

Dixie could only come back as a ghost. How much do the writers think we the fans can take of this happening. Greenlee is back who I love her character but now Dixie is coming back. Its like they can't come up with original stuff anymore. We shall see where this all goes.
