Hi I came up with this question, the reason in very simple Yesterday i met up with this wonderful lady and her husband who were the kind of people who left an impression on me.She told me that she lost her daughter fifteen years ago aged nineteen.I couldn't help crying, because I thought that this lady has so much courage to bear this huge loss. She by far is the best mother ,wife anyone can have. As far as I know they are god fearing ,church goers and when something like this happens I am bound to think that what went wrong and why did God choose them to go through this. Millions of people who abuse their kids, dont look after their kids and themselves carry on living life and people who are genuinely nice suffer. Can anyone give me an answer???

Hi ruchimom. Depending how that couple lost their 19 year old, it might not have been a direct test from God, so I don't think I could address that specific incident. However, I can address the title of your post. God knows all things and despite the wording has "to see" in regard to God's dealings with man it eventually boils down to for the human "to see." So, one reason why we are tested is so we find out how much we have improved in Christ, and where we need to improve. The word "test" also denotes purification. Somewhere in Job, Job says something like "I know when He has tried me, I shall come out as gold." Testing then is for improving us, revealing both good and bad. We then should bring any shortcomings we have to God in confession to Him and ask Him to cleanse us and help us receive the grace we need.

Hi PastorP, I was sure that you will definitely answer my query. The only reason why I came up with that specific case was because they are regular church goers and god fearing people. What I dont understand is that people who despise God go on living happily but people who beleive in God suffer.Like when someone passes away in India, the only way people condole the grievers is by saying that God needs Good people and that is why so and so has passed away. But life for that family becomes a living hell. I really appreciate your input.

Maybe God has His own purpose why he let that happen.. Consider the life of "Job".. Job was a faithful servant of God.. he always obey his commands.. but he also lose all of her childrens.. and not only them including everything that He own.. that time he ever curses the day he was born and complained to God.. but later then he realized that what he did was wrong and he asked forgiveness to God.. and God replaces everything that he lose... sometimes God let us suffer to test our faith.. but always remember that God won't give us problem that we can't handle..

everything has a purpose. sometimes it's hard to discern the reason why God test His people. But one thing is for sure: God will never leave you nor forsake you. :)
