Snooze me for another 9 minutes...

I woke up this morning after hitting the snooze button on the alarm clock a few too many times but made it to work on time. Of course during a long boring day my mind wandered & I began asking" Why do all alarm clocks seem to have a nine minute snooze delay?" Why not 6 minutes or 10? Why do all of them I've ever owned have 9 minute delays? Any ideas or theories on this?

I wonder about that too, except that when I was a kid - it was 10 minutes - maybe the digital stuff doesn't like the double digits?

I wouldn't know why not, it's not like they even display the countdown usually.

maybe some study discovered that 10 minutes was too long - they spend money on studies all the time that are total waste of funds!

Give it a shot! After all, they wasted MILLIONS discovering why tricycles tipped over!
