My favorite mob movie of all time would have to be good fellas.You have a great cast and it really tells you what actually happend in the mob well maybe not all of everything but it convinced me i looked on some of the top 10 mob movies of all time on alot of them this movies ranks lower then most of the other mob movies out there but good fellas was actually told from the perspective of henry hill.Id defiantly put this movie on my top 10 list!

My favorite is The Godfather. That film is just a classic masterpiece. It has great direction, writing, and actors. I like the first 2 godfather movies best, the mood just gets to you whenever you're watching it.

it can in some cases even if you get in to that hype youreself then come to find out that the trailer was more exciting then the movie it self

Well my favourite mob movie has to be "The Godfather" and it's also my favourite movie of all time if asked to pin it down to just one. The thing is whilst both "The Godfather" and "Goodfellas" are mob movies they approach it from two different angles, with "The Godfather" being more about the family where "Goodfellas" is about the wise guys and the crimes, giving you two different views of being a gangster.

true.the reason i like goodfellas more was probably the length factor and that with goodfellas the events took place within one family.And the story of the godfather was written with incidents that were true but they didn't just come from one family they were scattered stories from other mob incidents not just one family

I actually have a few faves in that genre..Scarface of course being a close first place with Reseviour Dogs and Pulp Fiction oh and The Usual Suspects...Goodfellas was good too then there is Casino, Donnie Brasco, Carlito's Way, Boondock Saints is another of my favs..Theres also American Gangster which isnt one of my favs but tolerable as was The Untouchables...Jackie Brown was okay but again not one of my favs..

Goodfellas is a great flick. One of my Top 3 Mobster movies. It's easier to watch compared to Godfather because of the length. But it's hard to rank a Mob movie above The Godfather. One of my Favorite "Gang" movies is Gangs of New York. It's raw, violent and poetic all at the same time.

yeah i agree with you there about the length part and gangs of newyork is epic! i forgot all about that movie i think ill watch it later thanks for your response and for the reminder =D
