The love the new software it makes me feel more secure. It has word recognition, 72hr history Gps , disables texting while driving, virtual fence a inner and outer perimeter can be set. I love it my son hasn't got any of the bad words yet from his friends. As soon as I downloaded it I text fu** to his cell from my fiancee's and immediately i received an alert on my phone. There are many things that look and seem like spy ware, but i think they can save our kids life. Word recognition is great because if any of 4,000+ words that have to do with drugs, guns , and pedophiles is used my phone is notified immediately via email and text. That's not spying to me, you don't need to look at everything your kid says but if certain words come up then you need to know. I want to know if my son is going access of 80mph, so that's what i set it for and text disabled at 10 mph . If he isn't driving i can take it off with three clicks on the mouse. The latest stats are more teens are killed because of texting and driving than dui's. Fatality's in teens are up 40% this software means fewer funerals. I think some parents will use it like a leash, but people abuse everything so I'm sure there will be some with this as well. The software is in the beginning of its boom so I'm willing to bet in 2 yrs time every parent has this software or software familiar to this. The virtual fence is a little much but im sure i will use it as he gets older. I have couple friends screaming big brother and two of my other friends have it. Chris who sold me the software says its beginning to become hectic keeping up with the parents need for it but he's happy.lol anyway is this big brother to you? Are you screaming conspiracy or protection let me know what you think? I love it.

What doesn't make sense to me is to be able to know when your son is driving. How does the phone know its in a vichel? Or if he's the one actually doing the driving? I can see disabeling and puting control on text usage, but I think setting limits and set hours when texts and calls can be sent and recieved can be a bit more stable and relyable then something that has a lot of conterversial flaws in it.

I don't really think it's big brother. it's more like good parent. it's not like the government is forcing adults to have this stuff on their phones. then it would be big brother. this is to keep our children safe. although i think some adults could use the text disabling software on their phones. My brother in law by some miracle survived a car accident in october that we think was cause because he was reading a text message while he was driving. My oldest is only 7, so I have a few years hopefully before she starts asking for a cell phone. I for sure will have as much of the protection on the phone that I can afford.

Yeah Austin is 12 now he sends between 1500 and 2500 text a month. Thats ridiculous. I disable his text from the time school starts till 2:00 then again at 3:00 to 6:00 for homework. Its amazing when he knows he cant text and not just supposed to be staying off, he does a lot better at homework now. I agree about the texting and driving i am a victim of myself .
