I've tried many diets and I think they're all only temporary weight loss. When you go off the diet, you usually gain the weight right back.I think the best way is to add more fruit and vegetables to your meals.Of corse get physical exercise. That's what I'm starting for my weight loss.I've done this in the past and lost weight, now I've been inactive and should exercise again.I have to say fad diets are weight watchers,South Beach Diet,Akins diet, there a few more.I've tried them all.Do you think these diets are just a fad?

hi java,
I really think that diet alone can't make us totally fit and healthy, we still need to have a proper exercise. Some diet such as Atkins and South Beach are great way to lose some pounds but it doesn't guarantee every person to have same results with others who've successfully tried it out. While some cannot stick on the program and return to its own habits. I've seen various weight loss diets, pills and machines and I find some of it as a "fad". As you have said, dieting isn't enough. In able for us to lose weight and to maintain a more fit and toned body we should be doing it "old school". Exercising is still the best way to lose some weight. Of course choosing the right food to eat will definitely help us achieve a more beautiful body.

java you do not need a diet you need a life style change where you just eat the good for you things we should all eat every day.
lean protein, whole grains, fruits and veggies, lo fat milk and cheese. keep the calories reasonable and get some exercise at least 45 minutes four or five days a week. just do control the size of your portions as thats what makes us all fat too much food and too little exercise along with it. good luck.
