Clipping Coupons! Are You a Coupon Clipper....Does it Save You Money??

Have you always clipped coupons or has this economy caused you to start clipping coupons? There have been stories of people who have paid six dollars or so for one-hundred dollars or more worth of groceries, by using double coupons. Have you saved a lot by using coupons? Can you remember the most you have saved using coupons?

I do clip coupons. You really used to be able to get things for almost nothing. I do still do great with them, but most of the coupons anymore, make it so that you have to buy 2. That makes it a little less of a great deal. It does save me money and helps to keep my cupboards full. I can usually save 15-20 dollars off of about 50, if I pay good attention.

...Hi Thoroughrob, I say good for you. If you are able to save that much money, you should be very proud of yourself. That's the trick of the merchants, they give you a little bit while they make you buy a lot. If you can use more than one, then it works well. I scan the coupon pages and maybe I'll find one or two usable ones. I admire those who use them to save money, you are one of those people. Thanks for stopping by. Take care.

Ive been a coupon clipper and user for a few yrs now and there are times when in combo with weekly sales etc it does save us a nice chunk..Not to the degree of what you mentioned though but every little bit helps right

...Hi there Ravenladj, Those that are able to utilize coupons have my admiration. You are quite right, every little bit does help, a dime saved is good "o). There are those I have read about in articles, who have coupon clipping down to a science. They have little filing boxes where things are organized so that every coupons is in alphabetical order and date order. They are serious and they save serious money. I would think that they adapt their purchases to which coupons are available, not the other way around. But it works for them. Thanks for your reply. Take it easy.
