what you did to combat global warming?

this whole world is trying to reduce carbon emission. so, that we could have a sustainable development on earth. it is not the prime minister that will do each and every work. he is going to discuss only with other country. but the actual work will have to be done by us.
so, please tell here on mylot what are the efforts you made to reduce carbon dioxide emission and other green house gases.

Hi shambhukumar.
What do I do or did to combat global warming. Absolutely nothing. When I was in high school were were told to expect an ice age around 2015! In 1999, lots of people believed the rumor that there would be a worldwide computer crash January 1 2000 (Y2K) since computers were not geared for it (I knew that to be false). But many people believed that silliness. I consider global warming a farce.
However, I do care about the environment and recycle among other things.

I think adding little bit thing every day can help a lot. i am not suggesting you but what i try to do and get success at least 80% in doing so.
1. i switch off the unused light where ever i see it in my college.
2. never waster water and all the taps are in good condition.
3. go to market with a plastic bag. if i had to buy some things and shopkeeper offers plastic then i restrict him not give a plastic as i already have one. i am using one plastic bag since last two years.
4. i do plantation at my home.

Hi shambhukumar.
Whether global warming is true or not, the things you are doing are good to do. I don't know where you live, but where I live in the USA they still need to get the idea of reducing the usage of plastic bags.
I do things like turn off the lights too, and some other things, but just to save money.
About water, where I live if it gets too cold outside sometimes we have to let a little water run so the pipes do not freeze.

yes doing a little little things can give a big result. we don't grow up in one day. each and every person should join hand to hand. i am proud of you dear that you are so conscious. i think apart from these things we should also do plantation to increase greenery around us.

I recycle as much as I can, i re use containers, I try to use public transportation whenever I can. I also get my bills online rather than in mail. Among other things, I don't agree with the comment above.

ya dear you are doing very good job. if every citizen of this world rise like this then i think global warming will not be a big problem to combat. yes we are supposed to use public transportation but in case of emergency we can use our private cars. we should do plantation as well to increase greenery in our surroundings.
