Yes, it was on the cards once Yuvraj was dropped as a captain late last year. I think that Sangakarra is a more mature captain than Yuvraj and uses more logic than emotion unlike Yuvraj. Yuvraj goes with his gut feelings and given his huge talents assumes others also to perform at that level. So in that way I think it is actually a good move. Cheers! Ram
