Is Virat Kohli really the next Sachin Tendulkar of the Indian Cricket? He has saved 3 to 4 matches for India and has scored two or three centuries.. I regard him as a normal because Tendulkar is my god! But, we cannot disregard anyone in ease! My next question is -Is Virat Kohli a great substitute for Sachin Tendulkar?

Yeah.. Kohli may become a future superstar of India cricket.., but can't beat Tendulkar's records... But if you ask me.., weather we can rely on him in future like how we did in the past with Tendulkar.., I would come up with the answer "yes". His leadership skills gives me a hint that he is going to be a future captain of Indian team.., before Kaif was in that mould though he faded away. But, hope kohli would not go like Kaif. ( I am not saying bcoz kaif n kohli both won us u-19 world cup.. Some years ago, kaif was a contender for future captainship.., but lost his place in the side.. ) And Kohli's leadership skills made Delhi's semifinal birth in this season's ranji's without the services of the stalwarts Shewagh, Gambir, Nehra.., even Chopra for a match. For this to happen, mean, kohli to take India further, we need to be little patience too..

Sorry.. I was supposed to compare kohli with Rohith and few other fringe players. But did not dose that... He is a candidate to be reliable, when we compare his competitors with him. He grabbed whatever opportunity he got in his way unlike Rohith and Uthappa. Even Raina too not comfortable with his place in the side, but by scoring century in the finals means, Raina could sleep better.

I don’t know why people start to compare players so early and that too with some one who is there for the last two decades. Ok, I can understand that he is playing well in the recent games and I feel he is capable of making a long career, but then to compare him with sachin is too drastic a comparison. Let time pass and things will be clear.

@ Kar29rocks: I'm not against to Kohli, but there were lot of youngsters who came in and performed well in a season or so, and then disappeared....pickooooo... e.g. Mohd. Kaif, Dinesh mongia, Rohit Sharma(still fighting for place), Joginder Sharma(match-winner in T20 WC 2007), so on.... Playin well in a single series and that too on sub-continent soil doesnt mean that he can be consistent all through his career...Its a too early call.! And moreover, this kind of mind-set raises expectation levels on Kohli.. Why cant u call Yuvi as next Sachin wen he's been performing so well over past decade? What i wanna convey is..let Kohli face music on foreign soil and to be consistent. No doubt he is performin well, but u cant compare him giants like Sachin or Dravid.

We should not compare a player who is just 10 match old and the one who has played more than 400 matches. As both are different in their prospective and the way they play.Earlier when sehwag made his debut then people started comparing him to sachin but in many ways shewag is different from sachin, the way he plays criocket is much different from the way sehwag or kohli plays. I would say sachin is the god of cricket and he have mastered every shot and is still trying to learn more shots which he can develop. This is the type of player he is,Yes kohli has potential but let him play as he can and let he be him only nat any one else.Sachin still has 2 years to play so we should not think of his substitute. And I would say no one can replace him.

It's very early to say that Viral would be the next...No doubt about that he has got the talent but need to go long-way. so far he has been very consistent and very important thing that he has ability to play according the situation. we need the match winner like Yuvi, Sehvag. definatly that guy has got such great skill but still has to extend against Good team Like South Africa & Aussie. For me It's too early to say about Virat's any comparison with Sachin Tendulkar. Have Nice Day

This is too earlier to say Virat Kohli is next Sachin although in the previous matches he had shown the potentiality. But this is shore that if he keep this consistency definitely he got bright future in Indian cricket.

he played very well, but he do more than this in future ,i think you are right he saved more than three matches in last series, but he is not become as a future sachin,he need to improve more, ithink the future sachin will be the suresh raina, in my point of view.
