Well... I think we would need a little more information :) All I can tell you without any info is make is special, but keep it as simple as possible kind of thing. My husband and I just got married this past September. We were only engaged for 10 months, so we knew not to get too over the top with this wedding due to time restrictions and what not. We had a lot of fun with personalizing things... our favors were just little chocolate bars (fall themed wedding by the way) with "falling in love" written on one side and "thanks for sharing our special day" on the other side. My mom made our wedding cake... which had a mud slick going down one side and a 4wheeler and a dirtbike on top to represent my husband and me (he's the dirtbike. haha) I wore my comfy old boots under my wedding dress and make my own bouquet (I wasn't really worried about the bouquet of all things. lol) I think our wedding pictures turned out great because we kept it simple, and very us. My dress was pretty fancy, but everything else was pretty casual. I loved every secodn of it because I knew that I didn't need a fairytale wedding to make me happy. I knew I wanted a wedding and reception to celebrate us, and who we are - not to show off, kind of thing. Make it special in a way that you and your soon to be husband can relate to. Use this to truely celebrate who you are as a couple and I promise, it will be the best day of your life!

After its all over, its just a tad depressing that you're all done planning :) So enjoy it while its there! Remember - this doesn't need to be a stressful operation. lol OH! And money saving tip - check ebay and such for invitations, party favors, decorations, candles, etc... they have some very nice things at very nice prices!

Thanks Hairshen for the advice!!Actually we are planning our wedding in my parents home which had been locked up for the past 20 years..my parents feel a deep emotional attachment towards the house since it was my dad's first investment!!Though I spent only a year of my childhood there!!I think my marriage will be a great way to bring back memories..Hmmmm..:)
