I have been reading tons of presidential polls and topics around and the front runners always seem to be Villar, Noynoy and Gibo. Now I ask myself, why not Bro. Eddie? He has a clean record, he has fear of God, and he has leadership experience in managing a large scale organization. Out of the candidates, he has my support so far... For the haters, may I ask, Why not Bro. Eddie? I want to know what you guys think.

hello tokouchi, if Erap was not in the line up, i will go bro Bro Eddie, I do see wisdom and changes in Bro. Eddie, but if you personally know him, well, give him a tap on the shoulder, He needs a bit more energy in his actions, he is kind of lame when he moves, needs to be quite active and expressive when delivering his speeches. i dont like a soft spoken person, a leader for our nation needs to be strong willed not just in his ideas but should be equaled with enormous energy.

I see. Well, it is in his nature i guess. But I do not see why it should affect his candidacy. What we need is someone who can bring visible changes to the table, and he clearly has the ability. I do not know him personally, nor am I a member of his religious group. I believe in his advocacy. That's what matters. Erap is charming, but we need more than just charm. We need change! and in whatever form it may be as long as its for the better.

we have seen how a religious advocative leader can do , like in the case of pampanga, their priest governor did made a lot of changes for the upliftment of Pampanga, now look how he is bullied in Pampanga. One very important aspect of being a good leader is his ability to fight back, and Bro. Eddie does not have that attitude and inner capabilities to retaliate.

I beg to disagree. His methods are calm but they do pack a punch. The reason why he isn't headline in any "big issue" is that for one, they know that he knows his way around laws and they want him to avoid the headlines. The will is strong my friend, the only problem is, he doesn't assert himself because he doesn't need to just yet. Listen to him more on forums and talks and you will see how solid his plans are and how feasible they are when implemented. Nobody has a clearer blueprint on how he plans to solve the main concerns of our country. That being said, would you rather go for someone who has doubtful credentials and unclear plans?

i like bro eddie as a spiritual leader but not as a president of the philippines. religious people like bro eddie should not go to politics, it's too dirty for them. what i like is bro eddie being a spiritual adviser to the president. btw, im voting for gordon even though he will lose.

Why shouldn't religious people go to politics? Personally, I believe that THAT is what lacks in our politics, we lack moral people who have the will to do what is right.

Hi kurono.. I know many people always say that they should only concentrate on doing one thing. choose between the two. If we are going to judge Eddie Villanueva according to his job description, (saying that he has to only be a pastor because he is one) don't you think it would be unfair for him to be treated as such and judged as such?... So are you also saying that businessmen shouldn't run because they have to concentrate only in business? Then many candidates shouldn't be running as well. For many of them have their business. If you see Villanueva as being ignorant of Politics because he is a pastor, that is not true because he studies and even became a professor. Thus he is not ignorant of politics. *religious people like bro eddie should not go to politics, it's too dirty for them.* don't you think that a God-fearing person should go into politics since it is very dirty. and they will have a chance to clean it. People who are clean could also clean a very dirty place, but a person who is dirty could not. for me I no longer believe in any current government officials, because if they will really do something in the president's seat, dont you think they should have done it even before they are in the seat?

You have a very good point! As a Bible believing Baptist I guess he is the best choice. No track of corruption, God fearing, and best of all, no tinge of idolatry which is what I am looking for for a president.

Absolutely. Have we not had enough of Traditional Politicians? Will we waste another 6 years hoping that they would change for us? I say no. We have better options. We just need to be critical and rational.

I myself would be voting for Bro. Eddie..I am actually calling all Christians here to study more about Bro. Eddie, and give him a chance to release the Filipinos from poverty in many ways. I can see good leaders during Bible era, people such as King David, King Solomon, and other leaders who have feared God, and submitted themselves to God and God had given them the strenght and wisdom to lead a country. The reason why President and country leaders, if not all, well i can say most of them.first is because they dont fear someone who has higher power on them like the God that Bro. Eddie is serving. Many politicians right now are self-reliant, only believing themselves, being over confident and does not have an upright manhood and moral beliefs on themselves which lead them to do bad things. A Godly leader is all we need. It is much better if you will be condemned for doing what is Godly and morally right, than to be condemned because you are doing evil things. To do morally right is to follow what is good for all the people and what God is commanding His people to do, but it seems that most presidential candidates right now have their own things in mind rather than what God really wants for Filipinos.

Thanks for the input. That is what I have been asking them as well. Give the man a chance. At least give him a thorough look. He has a well determined and viable platform of governance, a pro Filipino advocacy, a patriotic heart, and most of all, fear of God. I made the thread to have a better insight on why most are reluctant to vote such a viable candidate, and so far no one has had a concrete reason.

Yes, I will vote for him too. WE had corruption as the number problem in the PI since Marcos time. To remove that what we really need now is a God fearing person. Though I am not judging the other candidates that they are not God fearing, I still don't know much about them. But I am very sure that Villanueva is a God fearing person and everyone sees him as one and expects him to be one. He knows that he has to act his part and do good, all he was thinking of as a pastor (with 3 million members) is to glorify God. I know that he knows that if he wins and be corrupt and do not do his promises or his plans for the Philippines,he would lose these 3 million members, he will put a disgrace in God's name and he will give Christianity a shame. Do you think he could handle this? of course not... that's why I know and so much assured that he is the best candidate to choose. (GOD FEARING) If he wasn't a good leader, if he was corrupt, if he didn't know how to govern, could he handle 3 million members? could his church grow so much? I don't think so. and this proves to everyone that HE IS A (GOOD LEADER). Aside from being a good leader and being God fearing, he is not ignorant about politics, for he studies it and became A PROFESSOR, which means he knows a lot more than any candidate probably, for he studied about it for so long. and he also know about everything that is happening around the world and in the Philippines, during the interviews, he even gives me information about the things happening. It really proves that he really cares for the Philippines and he wants to know everything happening in it. (HAS A BACKGROUND IN POLITICS) (REALLY LOVES OUR COUNTRY) Don't you think he has all the qualities a good president could be? 1. God fearing 2. good leader 3. has a background in politics 4. really loves our country
