Ever Run Out Of Toilet Paper?

Canada

Usually I stock up on stuff like toilet paper and paper towels when they're on sale, and I never ever run out... so I thought. I was just recalling a time a few years back when I had a Christmas party at my house. I hadn't bothered to check on my TP supply, assuming there were a few spare rolls in the cabinet under the bathroom sink. Anyways, at one point my cousin asked me if I had any toilet paper, I looked high and low, I had none. I had to leave a box of tissue in the bathroom for the rest of the party. I was very embarrassed! Have you ever run out of toilet paper at your home? Have you ever been to someone else' home and couldn't find any toilet paper?

Water and soap is what we prefer. There are syringes that do the job well. Toilet paper does not contain any germ killers and so may not do what it is meant for. I do have a stock for visitors who sometimes prefer toilet paper and I am never short of it

Soap is for the big job and everyone has their own towels meant specially for this purpose - a tiny one which is changed every single day.

Ok, please forgive my ignorance. I live in Canada and we use toilet paper. I know that in many parts of the world a bidet is used, but it is rare to find a bidet in Canada. So here's my silly question .... how do you use soap and water? Do you also use a washcloth? A clean washcloth each time? Do you share washcloths among family members? Do you only use soap and water after you poop, or even after you just pee? I'm struggling here to understand, it all seems really complicated for me.

Not many will admit, that they ran out of 'white gold'. Yes that is what we call it here. And yes, i was the one who got stuck. Where you might ask? On the loo, of course. Then, unfortunately, i had to send my hubby to go and buy some. And what do men do when you send them on such a small and simple errand? Yes, that is right, they browse all the aisles, because, just maybe there were something else that you needed. For pete,s sake, you have to stay on that loo for about half an hour, because, mr. i like doing things for you, decided, he likes shopping. Yes, people, laugh and get it over with. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Oh my gosh, that sounds so familiar. You send him to buy one single simple thing, he brings back 20 other things and forgets to buy the one item you needed. Made me laugh.

Yeah, I did many times. Good thing that there are no visitors coming and it's only me who needs it. I often have one or two toilet papers in my cabinet but many time did I forge to buy. I hope that I will have available toilet papers especially when there are visitors.

Ho, Ho,Ho, we do not use toilet paper, and we use water for washing. We find this more hygenic than using the paper.I cannot dream of using paper instead of water.Even in the hotels where they keep the toilet paper, we do not used them and use only water.

LOL!Yes, I have ran out of toilet paper before, many times infact..hehe I think it even happened at Thanksgiving last year. I'm so glad that we always have a few boxes of Kleenex around for times we run out of toilet paper. And yes, it can be embarrassing to be out of toilet paper when a party or holiday event is in progress.

Yes I have sometimes run out of toilet paper at my own house and its never a good feeling .I wont get into too much details but at that point I normally get very creative .I dont think I have ever been to someone's home and not see any toilet paper but it has happened to me at work.I guess toilet paper is one of those things that dont normally come to mind immediatley when shopping

I usually don't have a problem keeping toilet paper in stock at my house. i am pretty good about keeping up with that purchase. The problem I often face with toilet paper is i seem to always be the one to replace the roll. Never fails!

Surprisingly, never. I usually buy whatever is cheapest in the biggest bulk package I can find. Cheapskate, I know, and it's only one step above wiping your bits with sandpaper, but 1) I cannot afford the quality brands at the moment and 2) It's better than nothing

Yes, I have done that. If I do run out I use tissue or paper towels until I can go to the store. I don't think that I have completely ran out of something to use.

No I don't believe so. Even at other's houses I've managed to find a roll. How important is this small creation! I was travelling over seas where they didn't use toilet paper. I was in complete shock. They used jugs of water. Anyway, I thanked the creator of toilet paper for making it accessible for me:)
