I live in middle east to work, particulary in Saudi Arabia. My first thing in mind is to learn the language, Arabic. I find it difficult but its fun and rewarding. Day by day I learn 1-3 words, I write it down in my notebook and when got home I open the dictionary for reference and meanings. Now I can understand and speak arabic correctly, fluently, and with confidence!

Good for you. Practive makes perfect. It reminds me when I was in Japan and learning Japanese, although we have classes and I learn faster when we practice speaking the language.

Yes, both attending to language classes and practice speaking is good and will help your learning better. It is nice to have a good conservation with the people who have the native tounge of the language we aim to learn.
