I have many good memories of my childhood. One that stands out as special was a snowy December night that we all drove into to town to attend my father's big work Christmas party. There was singing and comedy and a big Christmas tree and gifts for every child there, and there were many children! I, too, remember that as though it was recent. karen

I remember getting my first bike when I was about 4 years old. It was red and white with a little saddle bag on the back. I remember riding it up and down the hallway on christmas morning, wearing my PJs. Its the last memory I have of being a proper family before my dad left. I also have some great memories of later in my childhood when it was just me and my mum and we lived in a little flat near my grandma. We lived near the beach and we used to go and watch the punch and judy show every weekend in the summer.

When I was a little girl, I remember those days in the seashore there are so many seashells I saw. Now as the years gone by it changes it will time to time rare. I can pick it up by groups those longer times but now need to go far beyond to catch it. Its different now and the last time in younger year. I think its because of global warming and other changes.

To travel, in a bus or train or airplane was always my favorite choice to parent. So in late seventies when I was just nine-ten year old, I took the journey to a metro city with my mother. We were actually going to meet our aunt and uncle. An incident occurred to me while returning home, which i still remember. At one bus station I got down from the bus to pee and back from toilet I forgot bus. At that tender age I was unable to recognize and differentiate the buses. My heartbeat increased, I was crying, I was afraid that I lost my self and will never find my mother. But million thanks to Almighty God for helping me unite with my mother. A bus-conductor had played the role of angel.

I remember how I hurt when my father hit me. At the frequency of about 5 times per week, it must be the deepest experience in my childhood. Thanks Godness, I'm now far from him, as he never changes.

My first memory dates back to '93, when i was around one years old. I remember sitting on my grandfather's lap in our old home in Shanghai. It was a nice, warm afternoon. He was playing with me and making me laugh. That was my last memory of him before he passed :/ RIParadise grandma, I love you and will always miss you

Hello writefactor, There's a lot of event which happened when I was little, that I still remember vividly until now. For instance, my mum used to dress me up, put make up and lipstick on me, put flowers in my hair and then forced me to pose for the camera. She likes gardening and there used to be vases and vases of beautiful flowers outside our house. She would place me there and asked me to do certain pose or hold certain thing before snapping some pictures. Unfortunately we have lost the pictures because we move houses very often. Unlike now, we didn't even have the soft copy of it. But I still remember one pose where I'd put both hands under/beside my cheek, with one flower on my ear. I also remember when my mum always bring me fishing. At that time, we don't have fishing reel. We'd just tie the line to a long thin bamboo stick. We would tie a small rubber to the line (usually we cut a small piece off our toilet slippers), whenever it moves or sinks, it means there's fish. We will then snap the bamboo up to hook the fish. It was funny and it was fun. Thinking about it makes me smile.

I remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons, or spending all day playing outside with my friends without having to worry about work or school or anything like that. God, I miss those simple times

My first day at school. My mother took me to school and her friend accompanied us. My mother rang the parlour bell and after a while a nun came and saw me. I was actually small made. She asked my mother if I was the last one in the family and at that time she said I was. That was the month of June and in April of next year my brother was born!

That sounds like a fun vacation. =) I loved camping when I was a kid. We used to go almost every weekend in the summer while I was growing up. I have tons of wonderful memories. Like you, I usually slept the whole way to the campsite and woke just in time for the fun to start. We would normally spend most of our time on the water, whether it be riding around in the boat, fishing, swimming, or just enjoying the sun on the beach. Then when night fell it was time for bonfires, roasting marshmallows, and telling scary stories. It never got old, even after doing it for so long. I miss those days.
