the suffering of haitian victims and survivors of the powerful earthquake is visible in the images and scenes in haiti. there is a growing need for more aid and help in many forms. Is the international community doing enough to help Haiti? what do you think?

I do not think anything will ever be enough in a situation like this. I may not like my fellow country toadies, but at least they had the decency to send a helping hand, in the form of every possible aid you can think off. I relly wish there were more to be done.

I think they're trying and more help is on the way but it's difficult on many levels. The port has been destroyed which is hampering efforts to offload supplies from the ships that have arrived. The roads in the area have also been destroyed, many of them are blocked, so getting supplies out once they've been offloaded is difficult. There are similar problems at the airport. Mobile field hospitals have been set up and some supplies are being delivered by helicopters. The Haitian people seem to be doing their part as well from what I've been able to see on television...organizing food distribution following the helicopter drops and helping to get the injured to treatment areas.
