There are many types of people out there and no matter who you are or where you are. Everyone has this one trait they can't get rid of. Laziness!

I'd like to think this way: people are emotional and do things according to moods.

but isn't what people are. "If i feel like it I'll do it" the usual catch phrase

I think we need enough purpose and motive power.

Well, ray, another way of looking at it is that people are generally not motivated, that's why they just wanna laze around doing nothing. Motivate them enough, and they will get off their butts and rush off into something.

I agree with you. Many people are not motivated. But then again, everyone has a lazy day. The problem occurs when you are never motivated.

I have known many people who would not be classified as lazy people, like they work full time jobs & always tend to their family needs but if you go into their house or ride in their cars you see a terrible mess, or their grass is long because nobody has cut it yet. Sometimes people let things like that happen because they simply do not have time to keep up their homes & yard because they work and are always busy.I had a friend that was a nurse and she was really successful at her job at the hospital and she worked all the time and she lived with her mom and sister who both were disabled and their house was almost always in a mess. My friend would always say " oh I've been too lazy to clean up lately, so please excuse the mess" and I would say " when do you have the time to clean this place, your never home long enough to clean?" But she sometimes would come home after a LONG 12 hour shift at the hospital and go home & straight into the kitchen and do a mountain of dishes because her sister and mom were too disabled to clean the dishes. Sometimes it's hard to label somebody as being lazy when they are sometimes too busy with their demanding jobs or are too disabled to do housework. It depends of the situation.

yeah, this is due to changeable moods of most people in this world...but you know here in philippine setting, filipino is said to be lazy that is why there are a lot of people with the same comments that the reason why philippines wouldn't be progress or developed due to lazy people..but anyway to get rid of this..is to discipline oneself. hope this can help.

I think most of push past it, but yes, it's always underneath, lurking around in us. I actually am witnessing this first hand this weekend. I haven't worked since Thursday (which is a major change for me because usually I work 7 days a week!) and I'm so shocked by how LAZY i feel. I never usually feel lazy but that's because I'm always out and about, at work, shopping, with friends, at school, & so on. But I think there are just some days where we NEED to relax and take a chill pill.

I agree that people are lazy. Even I tend to become lazy at times. However I do that only when I have no inspiration to perform. Sometimes work becomes monotonous and demanding and does not give the necessary results that we are looing for. That is when I tend to become lazy. I wonder how it is with other people but laziness can become an obsession that we need to beware of!!
