Do you wash dishes right after every meal?

If it's a day off, I will wash it right after I come back from work. But I make sure that I will fill the sink with water and soap and soak the dishes. I also make sure that there are no traces of foods for the cockroaches to enjoy.

I do not like to fill the sink with dishes to do them later. So I usually either put them in the dishwasher or wash them right then and there. In fact even while I'm cooking I'm washing up every dish or utensil I use so that when I sit down to eat its only the plate and fork that I need to wash. I like sitting down knowing the kitchen is clean. Its all part of my OCD.

Hey I learned something from you. It's good to see kitchen nice and clean. I remember my mom told me, that while washing clothes or cooking, I can also wash dishes of fold some clothes or just picking up in the living room not just focusing one task. That's what shetold us when we were young. Sometimes I got lazy. lol.

You really learned it from your mom and its called Multitasking. When you do more then one thing at a time. I think it all helps in keeping things clean and tidy and not being overloaded with so much to do at one time. When you are cleaning the kitchen as you are cooking its really saving you time later. I stay in hostel and have my meals there. There are servants to wash the dish. But whenever, we friends have a party in my room, i along with my friends wash the plates and dishes.

the is the first rule in our house clean as you go. my wife and i has this rule. so whatever we use utensil we make sure that we clean it. when she cook our meals and i am around i help her by washing the utensils she used during cooking, i also wash the dishes after we eat. if we let dirty dishes on the sink it will invite insects.

yes, usually i do wash them right away...but there are times, when its really cold, i don't like to wet my hands! haha so i don't wash them right away...
but i make sure that it will not appear to be messy, i still arrange them properly...hehe
just like today, i think i still have pile of dishes waiting for me...haha but i will wash them later..before cooking! huh! its so cold here now! been raining for almost 3 days!

I don't have enough time to do the dishes in the morning, so I fill them with water and take care of them after I come back from school. When I am having dinner in the evening, I usually wash the dishes after it, because then I have time to do that. And I don't have to worry about cockroaches, because I don't have any in my apartment.

Hi alohagems100,Yes i do, i used to wash all the dishes and kitchen utensils,every after meals.I don't want to see mess in our lavatory as much as i can..I love to see my lavatory and kitchen utensils well arranged.Have a nice day!

Thank for you input to this discussion. Keeping the house clean specially kichen and lavatory is very good. It is sanitary and it also affects our mood. It the house looks like a mess then I am not in the good mood. Good work for maintaing the cleanlines in your home.
