I started taking my kids to the library when they were real small. We looked at books together. Actually, my daughter purchased my grandson his first books yesterday. She read three of them to him and he is only 2 months old. He did look at the pictures. It's good to start the process early then they will just grow up with it. THat's easier than trying to introduce and force it later!

Wow..your grandson knows book so early and it's good.As we know that reading book for kids could we start when they still in our uterus. They could hear it and hearing is one of three potential that god has given to baby as their basic for life. Thanks for share here.

just like you, I am also happy if my child enjoy reading. Reading tales that is a good start. As for what I practice is to get them to read the images contained in these books, in hopes they will be very keen to ask.

Reading tales for kids is one part to teach reading.Beside it,reading tales could help them to make their growth faster. They learn about expression, language, the important is the moral value that implicit in the story. Thanks for your share advokatku.

I used to read to my son books even when he was in a young age. Ever since I would go to book stores finding him books I think that are interesting and affordable as well. I would end up buying a book each day just to have more books to be read to him. Now he is older he loves to read books. He would memorize the stories and I would end up getting tired reading it again and again.

I had always tried reading to my kids but my son wasn't really into it until recently he is now 4 but I am glad that he came around we read daily now and I cant' wait until this summer to get books at rummage sales. My daughter is 1 and she still won't sit still to read she likes to page through but that is it so are still on picture books with her but it is better then nothing. I loved to read as a kid but my husband did not. We both would love to have kids that continue to enjoy reading I think it makes school a lot easier for those kids.
