Am I the only one who gets very nostalgic whenever thinking about the "old" internet? Remember back in the day, when a search engine would not provide you with the top mainstream sites, but rather sets of more personal pages? Back when you first created a forum with 10 registered users, and felt like king of the world? Or the absolute classic sound dial-up modems used to produce when connecting to the internet? Because I do Anyway, share any internet nostalgia here and feel free to discuss a time when the internet seemed to be some outlandish space-age invention.

I love the little dial up sound! I almost want to type an impersonation of it on here. I'll spare you that though. lol How slow dial-up was - I don't miss that at all. Thinking about it now makes me miss it even less. lol

Ugh yes, it certainly reminds us just how lucky we are to have such speedy internet providers now compared to not even a decade ago! I rememer finding it normal to be waiting upwards of around 5 minutes for a single web-page to load, and being absolutely amazed if it did something that we take for granted now, like feature an animated .gif or something
