hey all have been seeing a few discussions lately about various foods and substances heres the question be honest if you decide to answer - are you addicted to any food stuff or substance some people need caffeine in the morning with a cup of tea of coffee or soft drinks like cola etc etc where as others just drink water so are you addicted to any food or drink, and do you need it to function ??

I need my coffee and cookies in the morning but if I would be out of coffee I wouldn't have withdraws or nothing, I just drink Hot Chocolate or Tea as long as it is something hot.

I do not think that I am addicted to any food or drink, and frankly I think addiction is just a state of mind and not a real thing at all. Withdraws are just the brain not having its normal cycle but things change all the time.

yeah addiction is all in the mind, but I know lots of people who get up and have a coffee because they can't really function without their early morning cuppa and if they don't have it they are really annoying throughout the day.

As I don't drink coffee and not a lot of tea, there's always coca cola. I've managed to drink less of it lately, but if I don't get it I get cranky. It's the caffeine, so I could go for tea instead I suppose but I think cola tastes so much better. And eating dinner while drinking tea is just weird. I could go for water I suppose, maybe one day when I feel really healthy and good :-)

I don't really understand addictions. I do drink coffee first thing every morning though. If I run out of coffee, I just drink something else. I even drink it sometimes throughout the day. It seems to pick me up. I don't think that I'm addicted. I think I just like it.
