Can PTC sites reverse Paypal payments?

Im just wondering. i mean, ive heard so many stories of people being scammed through Paypal that I'm almost scared to use it, but i still do. I was wondering whether after you receive a payment from a ptc site for example through paypal, can it still be reversed or is it in my account for good? It's very hard to trust sites when making money online so i thought i'd ask Thank you :D
