your referrals will soon leave? do you tell them the fact that the rules are EXTREMELY STRICT here, and often complex to get straight. one may get sign ups quick, but i almost left this site a few times because of ...well, stuff....lol. i won't get into it. i fear they will experience the same...well, stuff and just get fed up and leave. i know i know, who cares. but what is the sense of even getting referrals and inviting them. when you introduce the site, you pump it up and boost up it's best points. it's like what if they get here, feel comfortable, get snatched out of the confort zone to start walking on egg shells? i guess it's just the sign of the times all around. just in the world everything has a more cold war era russia flair to it. what do you share with the newbies when they come in?

Hi MoonGypsy! Which rules do you feel are extremely strict? Which rules do you feel are complex? Are there some clarifications I can provide for you?

k, here it goes. how about this.. i will give it to you in a wish list. 1. the task got deleted. i suspect for posting against rules. i wish there could be more freedome with that, since we are not allow to post links. as long as it does not compete with my lot, i.e another posting site, social nets, etc. i wish we had a bit more freedome there. 2. i wish the rules could be explicitly outline what you can and can not post with the task. i mean even down to description. not just the obvious. 3. i wish that when we get post deleted, a message could come up on the page telling the member exactly why. i know it's a matter of having enough time to do that with each individual member, but i know of other sites that are able to do it and have alot of members like mylot. the best way to learn is through error. because sometimes the rules are broad and not clear cut. 4. i wish the rules could be more clear cut. people keep saying to "read the faqs". keep throwing the proverbial book at us, like we don't even know how to read, or wasn't smart enough to eventually do it, at least after the first post deleted! our members are more better and smarter than given credit for sometimes. i think that the rules need to be a bit more narrow and right to the point. list EVERYTHING OUTRIGHT that we can't post. no leaving it to figure out intent. this is not the supreme court, only a posting board. 5. I wish that either the payout was lower or pay per post higher. 6. I wish that we could get over rating members. it's is complicated to understand how we are supposed to do it. different interpretations of what the rules says about it. some see the rules say do it, other say don't do it because some post your are not supposed to??? 7. I wish regular members would act as members and not as substitute admin. I think that sometimes this creates a field where members have some kind of authority over who they see fit, and can get a post deleted just like that. I feel like that power is sometimes abused when people have personal feelings about a post, or a poster they don't like. It's ok to share knowledge, but some times when members give others advice about mylot, it comes across very off putting, threatening, and unwelcoming. at least from real admin, people may see it different. after all, admin is in charge and runs the site. they say what goes. 8.I wish that we could have more contact with support and admin. these are the things that any newbie could find a bit....of a downer when they are so high about being at such a great site. this could cause them to want to leave. that's a shame, cause this site has great people on here, so it's a shame that more good people who be hesistant about staying. thank you so much for allowing me to voice. for asking instead of chastising.

great. this is what is it about. true dialogue. not that i am having a problem. i have people that i have invited here. i don't care so much about the referral credits. i use this site mainly for fun and recreation. that's why i invited my friends. i just want them to be able to tell me, "yes, you were right!!! i am having fun and it's cool". see, i talked this place up so they can come be with me on here. so, i want them to understand what is going on, so they won't be deleted. i had to get these questions out, so they will be answered for all to see, not just me. cause this is what learning is all about. and by the source!! this is great. i have never learned so much on this site except for today, and i hope others have learn too. only one thing. we are not paid per post? so are we paid per response. i mean i still will do both as equally as i have been cause i like to do both. just be to clear. also could you please specify what actions would not be considered fit for rating, or at least give an example. thanks alot. and thanks for all your help and time on this.

I'm glad you've learned a lot today. A lot of the credit should go to all of the other members who contributed in the other discussions because you really got some terrific feedback there. My definition of a post is a discussion, response, or comment. The point is that you aren't paid a flat rate "per post" - you are rewarded for your activities as a whole. I don't think I could cite a specific example, but I might be able to break it down in simpler terms. If someone's post makes you smile, makes you giggle, or makes you feel like they just gave you a big hug, rate it with a +. If someone vehemently disagrees with you but is respectful and eloquent, give it a big fat +. If someone contributes factual information and answers your questions, that's a +. If someone's post is bad enough to report, then it's bad enough to mark it with a -. Name calling and flaming, spam, and plagiarism are good examples. If you don't think the post falls into either of the two categories I just outlined for you, then it doesn't deserve to be rated. I hope that helps!

I haven't tried to refer anyone yet, but I don't think the rules are very strict. I'm admining another site (not paid, just discussion) and I don't think we're more lenient than they're here. The guide-lines here are quite clear, and it's not as if anyone bites you if you mess up. I think it's a quite nice site in that way.

I don't fear about the my lot, because when i referred to someone,he told me "it's a good website and at the same time you should follow the rules,if you don't follow you will be out from this community, and at the same time the payment is good according to the users, used in-the my lot web site that how many post they did,it's feel good for me so I'm choose this option.
