Chuck - Is Awesome Dead?

For those of you watching the TV series Chuck the last episode left us watching the assassin waiting for Dr. Awesome with a shot needle supposedly full of poison. The last scene shows Sarah whispering into Chucks ear something about Awesome... do you think he is dead or not? My guess is that he is being held prisoner.

I don't watch Chuck, but my dad loves the show. I was just happy to hear that the ratings were up for the season premiere than from last year. It's not often a show is popular without being oversexed, over done with violence, or laced with profanities. I'd like to see a good show thrive just because it's plain 'ol good.

Chuck is already getting better ratings than NBC's Thursday night block of comedies. When Chuck was first renewed (it was saved by an intense fan campaign), NBC ordered only 13 episodes. But their other shows stunk so bad, they brought back Chuck sooner and upped the order to 19 episodes.

I don't know. I don't remember him being in any of the last few episodes (though his wife--Chuck's sister--played an important part in the most-recent one).
I guess we'll find out if it comes up, or

From the CHUCK-wiki:
""Chuck Versus El Angel de la Muerte" ends with Awesome treating the dictator's assassin, who comes at him with a syringe. His fate is unknown until the next episode, when it is shown that he was in fact captured by the Ring who mistook him for a CIA spy and sought to recruit him. The Ring tests Devon by ordering him to kill Daniel Shaw. Under Chuck's guidance, Devon infiltrates Daniel's base and stages the murder to the satisfaction of Ring agent Sydney Prince."
Interestingly, Devon "Awesome" WAS going to be found-out as an enemy spy in the first season of CHUCK; but the character was 'saved' by popularity!
