Okay - so I'm not talking about an all expense paid cruise around the world or anything. But I don't know - if you could put maybe $1000 together for you and your friend or significant other... where do you think you'd go? Skiing in the mountains? Go to the beach -whether its warm out or not... its still nice to hear the waves :) A nice little cabin to just be secluded from life's daily hecticness? So - to keep within the budget - I'd have to say my husband and I would spend 2 nights in this beautiful lodge about an hour or so away from where we live. The have the cutest little rooms with a huge fluffy bed, fire place, love seat and jacuzzi tub in the rooms - you can get them with or withour TV's - we got without. They have an excellent chef in their restaraunt, a wonderful massuse. Everyone there is so awesome! That's where we got engaged :) We're going back for our one year wedding anniversary - but that isn't until September - I hope to go again sooner!

Vegas baby! I could seriously do some damage with a $1000. There are some small airlines nearby where the fare is not even a hundred dollars. Maybe take in a couple of shows, and mind you, I think those would be the most expensive part of the trip. And then a little gambling. I've never been there, but I have already done the research half a dozen times. Now where can I get that thousand bucks...?

I was only in Vegas once - and I was 16... we had to go pick up my friends' niece... but I got to ride the coaster on top of tha stratosphere and such. It was still fun! But I'd like to go back now that I'm older! haha I'm not much of a gambler - but I'd defenitly indulge in shows... and SHOPPING!!!!!! Woo hoo! And have you looked under the bed for your $1000? You never know what may end up under there! haha

As a matter of fact there is a $1000 under my bed! The kids were playing monopoly last night and there were a bunch of fake money all around. Well, they were not really playing the game, but more just counting and recounting the pretend money.

Me and a friend of mine are planning on taking a 'budget trip' to Hawaii! We've been looking on Priceline.com and we've found packages starting at around $600 per person for about a week - flights AND hotels included! Which isn't something I can afford right now (even though it's super cheap) but we're hoping after we get our taxes back..That it will be HAWAII TIME!! I would totally love to see the ocean.
