Is it possible to have one nation one world one gevernment?

Giving the control of the world to a few persons is a bit scary. As we all know power corrupts. If people are capable of killing for even just the local elections, how much more if the control of the world is at stake. A classic example is the Ampatuan's, if they killed people in cold blood just to prevent someone from filing his certificate of candidacy...and were talking here of a local post only. Just imagine if he is the one running for the president of the world. Besides, how do you expect the afghans to react if they were to be under the US or China? I'm sure one world government will only bring more trouble than peace.

I'm sure it would be possible at some point. I do NOT think it would be beneficial. There are so many different cultures that it would be impossible to please everyone. The only one world government would have to be either a sham or a rigid dictatorship, and probably both.

Look at the UN. It is to be an institution where the nations of the world can work together to solve problems. What you have is nations voting what is best for them and not the other nations. The other thing is it often becomes a fight between the have and have not nations. Look at what often happens when there is a dispute nations will join forces dictators will joining against the democratically elected governments. At the Copenhagen Conference it came down to the poor nations wanted money from the rich nations with no strings attached.

Dear friend, I hope it is too late now. Still if there is cooperation it is possible and this cooperation for united world is far away. May be some sort of world war or the war of the fittest may lead to one government, one world and one nation.

Unfortunatelly that is impossible. Just look around and you will see evidences everywehere. For example how do you imagine eventual country where jews and arabs live together? Or greeks and turks?

i dont think it would work considering there are always those types of people that want to get to the top and be leaders. there would be too many fights - mostly political which would turn into outright fights
