Forgive me for asking this question, but I am just curious to know if there is some truth to what they say that generally people from the West are meaner than people from other parts of the world. How true is this? Is it because they are easily frustrated by certain systems? Or is it because their culture has low tolerance for errors and other human frailties? I hope no one is offended by this post, but I just want to clarify this issue. Kindly share your thoughts.

I think what you say could be true as we have become more selfish and less likely to help each other. This is probably because we have less of a need to help each other."Slums" have such a community and friendly atmosphere as their is a lot more cooperation between people as they don't really have anyother option to live but to work together.

I dont want to generalize this topic as much as possible. What is morally acceptable to one group of race may not be acceptable to other races. What I mean is every person has different standard of what is right and wrong depending on the society it belong. When I was in Canada I didnt find canadians as mean though there are also people whom I met that has unacceptable behavoir to me but some of them dont recognize that since they grew up in a different culture unless you tell them they are being mean. All I can say maybe they just dont know and unwilling to put their shoes on others shoes thats why they are forseen as mean.
