The cheapest way to travel to Florida?

We live in PA. My fiends and I always want to go to Florida. However, it is rather expensive to fly. We always want to do a roadtrip, but we fear that it is so long that would make it intolerable. Anyway, we just want to get there as cheap as possible. I welcome all suggestions. Thank you!

look into flying one way on low cost carrier like Southwest and then taking a one way rental back home. This way you have a car while you are there. Many companies have specials as low as 9.95 because they want you to drive the cars back up to the Northeast. Seems many people take them down and they get stuck in Florida. It is worth checking it out. You can also price the autotrain. It runs from Virginia to Florida. Then you would have your car with you and not have to drive the whole way.

the auto train is a fantastic idea. I have checked it out already. It would save us too much money. It literally cut our spending of the whole trip by half. Thank you so much much!
