Is having a car is expensive?

i think having a car is expensive but the advantage of having one is you don't need to wait for a taxi or bus. :)

Having a car is expensive because first you have to buy it, then you have to pay for insurance and everything and then you also have to pay for gas every month. Compared to the money you would spend for public transportation (if it's available where you live), it's just too much money. Right now I spend 54 euros a month for transportation from my home to school and back (train and bus). I can spend other money for anything I want. If I had a car that would just be the price of gas, but you also have to count in the parking fees... Right now, when every place I go to is accessible by public transportation, I'm not even thinking of spending my money for a car.

You are right. Having a car nowadays is quite expensive and even if you can afford one, you still have to mind the ever-rising prices of oil.
I still have a housing loan on a bank and we are still paying for it. So having a car is not in my priority list now.

That's right. I will just buy a car if I have a lots of money. I am going to invest first with a house and lot at least the amount of house and lot will increase if time pass by but with a car it will just decrease at the same time waste of money :)

Yes it is really expensive. Gas, maintenance, car wash and so on. If you don't need car that much don't buy first. Just save your money or invest and then when you already have your priorities like having your own house, savings, educational plan for your children and others then when you still have a lot of money then that's the time you can buy car.
