I'm afraid my son has scoliosis

MY son's CI wants to talk to me because she suspects that my son has scoliosis after an assessment when they were doing a Physical Assessment demo in Healthcare. His right hip seems to be higher than the other. I am anxious and am so afraid that my son's activities would be limited or that he won't have a normal life anymore. Any comment please? Is this untreatable? Have you heard of any alternative treatment other than braces or surgery?

Thank you. I am just waiting for my husband to come and we will immediately seek a specialist's advice, whether my son needs a spinal brace or a surgery. But I still hope it's not severe yet.

i have two scolitic curvature ( mild-mod) at the cervical and thoracic region but i don't think it has made me any lesser person despite certain limitations .and also i have met with others with mild- moderate degree of scoliosis. let me assure you it hasn't dampened their spirits. caution, exercises and sometimes braces do become the part of your life but not your life.don't worry and help your son evolve in the best way he can.all the best.

Thank for your attention. It strengthens me. I am really so worried thinking that the curvature would progress even if he is going to use a brace and that everything won't be normal again.
