sms chat or net chat??what would you prefer??

chatting with friends via sms is very common now a days........specially the gen y is very fond of sms chatting but chatting via net using different social networking sites is not lagging behind either...
so what do you prefer more??sms ing or net??

Neither. I'd much rather talk in person but if I can't, I'd rather call them & talk to them on the phone. I only use emails, sms & other form of "chatting" softwares, weather on the phone or computer, for short messages in case I can't talk on the phone.

i usually chat using the net.. its way to cheaper err its free!! chatting through sms via phone without wifi is costly here..
