Costa Rica?

Hey all! We are considering purchasing a vacation or possibly a full time home outside of the US. SO far at the top of my list is Costa Rica. We have never been there but I would love feedback on whether it might be suitable or if we should strike it from the list. We have three children so I am looking for all sorts of input... economy, schools, housing market, culture/people, healthcare access, etc.
