I am a HUGE bargain hunter, coupon cutter, sale finder!! I absolutely love finding a good sale or getting something really cheap. For me it's like a game - seeing how much money I can save on items! Well I know some people that don't like buying things on sale. They think sale items must be "lower class." It really makes me laugh. I mean at the grocery store I save 50%-70% each week using coupons and I'm getting name brand name items!! Or when I find items on sale at the stores I'm still buying the brand names they just happen to be on sale because of the end of a holiday or a season change. It has nothing to do with the items being crappy or lower class. I just don't get it! Do you like sales? Or will you not buy something because it is on sale or clearance?

I always look for a deal regardless of how much money we have. I will always pick the sale item over the regular priced and I am always open to trying new or different brands if they're cheaper. Why waste money? Our renter is not like that at all and it drives me nuts. He has a certain brand of orange juice that he buys and if it's on sale that's fine but he will not deviate from that one certain brand, even if another comparable brand is on sale for half price. There's nothing special about it either, store brand is just as good and tastes the same. Plus he shops at the most expensive grocery store in town and pretty much refuses to shop at the cheaper places. His stupid orange juice is at least $2 cheaper at Walmart and the frozen pasta things he likes are probably $1 cheaper each but he still won't go there. He will come home with a box of cereal and a jug of that orange juice and it costs him $15! That is just insane to me. I know it's not my money, or my business, but I can't stand seeing people waste money. It just bugs me.

We have an organic grocery store here that sells some of the same items that you can get in the regular grocery store but it's 3x the price. So many people shop there... I don't understand it! Thanks for responding!

Hello jennlk good day...like you I am also a "sale aficionado". As of this time of our global crisis I think everyone should be practical in every ways. I don't care if I would wear "sale" items or anything from a "garage sale" or something as long as I would be sure there would be no "price tag" on in... Nice topic Jenlk...

HAHA. That's such a silly concept, isn't it? Refusing to buy something just because it's on sale?! It's funny, because it's totally opposite for me. In most cases (unless I REALLY REALLY like it!!) I refuse to buy it at FULL PRICE. Clothes, especially, because they're RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE when there aren't any discounts or they aren't on sale. I am way too practical to pay $70 for a hoodie; $60 for a pair of jeans. I'd much rather wait.. until they're marked down to a good $15. Or on sale for at LEAST 50% OFF! And I don't think it makes anyone LOWER CLASS just becuase they don't waste their money on something they can easily get at a discount. I think that makes them smart.

I love saving money. I especially save money when it comes to shopping for groceries. I go to the frugal cooking web sites and look for recipes that do not use many ingredients. I set a budget and stick to it. I only buy things that are on sale and if I have coupons that it even better. When money was better for my husband and I, I bought clothes when they were on clearance. I never cared about the latest fashion. All I cared about was finding great prices. I do not see how some people can spend money like it is water.

I must admit that I am not that much of a big spender or a good saver, but I have been keeping tabs on the sales seasons that goes around every year and thus, I would advice or recommend my peers and my family when and when would be a good time for a shopping trip. So, YES! I like sales!

i think sometimes the most important is not just to save money, because what's saved on one thing is definitely spend on something else. the main thing is the bargain itself... isn't it? :)

Now that I don't have a job any more I have become a big coupon/bargain shopper! It's difficult for me to save money because I find sales all the time and I know they won't last, so I usually stock up and spend more than what I wanted.
