If You Have A Kindle Are You Done With Buying Paper Books?

The Kindle from Amazon.com is something I'm very interested in buying as I would have so many books to access via my finger tips and just download them. It does away with the a lot of hassle and greatly increases the speed of getting the book I would want to read. Amazon said the goal is for the customer to have access to every book ever published on the Kindle. Thats a big goal more so than Netflix having every movie to be streamed online. Good Luck Amazon

I don't have one, but I guess what I wonder is how much the kindle "books" will cost? I can get many books from friends, family, book clubs, or sales at pretty cheap prices. So I am interested to know how much one pays for a kindle book versus a regular book. If you find out, let me know :) I guess I could look it up myself but maybe someone will come here and answer.

Well, not completely. If i own a Kindle, I may probably just stop buying non-fiction books. These books are mostly just words, with few or no pictures at all. On the other hand, technical knowledge books almost always contain lots of pictures and graphs for illustration purposes. As we know, Kindle does not yet have a color LCD display and therefore will not be very suitable for reading technical books.

I haven't bough a paper book in months! I think it's great to buy books online. It wastes less trees, and is healthier for the earth.

You are quite right, of course, piggiehandcuffs! But there is still something so special about regular books, I can't give them up just yet, even though I would want to (just to be more environmentally friendly!)

Never. I love the smell and the feel of the book in my hands, and I will never part with that. I love having a book in my hands and I love reading and buying the Nook will not make me buy books any less. I will still buy paper books as long as I can get them.

I don't have one yet, but I would like to get one. I am not sure if I will buy paper books or not, it all depends on how much I actually like the kindle. On the other hand, a lot of my friends are publiched authors, and it'll be pretty hard for them to autograph electronic books. LOL I guess whether I buy books or not on a regular basis, I'll always make sure to buy hard copies of the ones my friends have written, so they can sign them for me.
