Has anyone read Fountainhead by Ayn Rand? What were thoughts on the author/story

Has anyone read Fountainhead by Ayn Rand? What did you get out of the book.
Do think she exggerates the conflicts in the book. How would describe the symbolism of the book. Was it boring and too hard to read? Did it keep you going and these principles apply to our Government today?

i just start reading this book of ayn rand, i am now on the half of the book. yes, i guess it is just too symbolic and the characters are not too ordinary for this generation. i will come back for more comments when i am finish reading it.

Three times I started to read it.But I did not make any progress. I kept reading many other books.But now I am reading it.I think I will finish it soon.I cannot make a comment on this now.I will come back here after finishing it.
