Does anyone else love latin?

I love latin, I took it for three years in highschool. I really wish it was still a spoken language, it has such a rich and amazing history. My favorite phrase is a quote from Cicero "Assiduus usus uni rei deditus et ingenium et artem saepe vincit" which means "Constant practice devoted to ones subject often outdues both intelligence and skill"

I find latin fascinating, but we didn't have the option to take it in high-school. If it had been available, I would have loved to have studied it. My grade 10 English teacher covered it briefly (even though it wasn't on the curriculum), but all I can remember is reading a Winnie the Pooh poem and noticing how he went "tump tump tump" when he fell down the stairs. I often wondered how accurate a translation that was. I speak a bit of French and Spanish, so I can often figure out the gist of latin phrases I encounter.

Thanks for your reply! I've found that taking latin has helped me be able to get the gist of whats being said in several different languages, most of them have roots in latin. :)
