I like blogging but I also like reading feedback about my blogging. I used to get a few comments every couple weeks or so but it wasn't comments about any of the info on my blog just full page ads I don't like getting those and since I moderate all of my comments before posting I delete those. But then I got an idea to tell readers that their comment had to contain their thoughts about something on my blog(genius idea right. Wrong!) Now I get one or two comments every now and then, Why do you think that is? Did I go about this comment situation the wrong way? I really wanna know. FYI: The "My Website" link and the "Click Me" link in my profile each take you to a different blog of mine. My Website link = My Joke Blog Click Me link = My 1st blog

The practical answer would be if you want people to comment back on your blog posts, you should also comment on their blog posts as well. Few people realize it, and believe me I haven't even thought about it until I read a certain article about this on the web.. For me blogging is like making friends.. so my advice is to set aside a blog hopping schedule, and leave the blogs with comments so that they'll notice you and might visit your blog as well... because no matter how great your posts are, they are perfectly useless if people don't read it.. so a little marketing should do.. and don't just market for the sake of marketing itself, convert netizens into friends or just blog buddies :) I've done this and after a week setting up my blog, I received about 6 comments. :) Not bad I guess. :) Goodluck on your blogging and God bless ;)

I sometimes get a lot of comments on my blog, and sometimes, none. It's hard to know what will get people started, but I sometimes ask them a question at the end of a post and that will encourage them to reply. If you use blogger.com, you can set it so that you have to approve comments before they're posted. I do that to catch the spam before it's posted. You're always going to have a certain amount of spam. Other than that, I think that a little off topic doesn't hurt anything.
