Are extreme weather conditions, earthquakes, famine etc God's way of punishing us.Thinking about Hurricane Katrina, tsunamis and the more recent one,the Haiti Earthquake, makes one doubt the existence of a loving father up there taking care of us all.Or maybe He is angry with us and have punish us with these disasters. What do you think....

I cannot say this very confidently but yes GOD has his own way of punishing us. Do you think we are doing all good with nature? Cutting of trees, building construction, population. We are creating jungle of buildings and not giving way to the water, later on we complain that GOD is responsible for flood, its not GOD its we who are responsible for flood. Global warming, do you think its again GOD responsible for this? No its we. Lot of things to say but yes earthquake is definitely a punishment from GOD.

I quite agree, but I want to clear some points.. the disasters are the results of what we have done, not God. So if we experience massive floods, it's the result of what illegal loggers have done.. We should not blame it all to God, for God is a good God.. He loves us so much that He gave us freewill to do whatever we wanted, sadly, we are not being responsible for it.. so the results are disasters like these.. :(

Tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes are part of nature, therefore as God first created this world, the probability of this disaster to happen are already there, before man comes along.Because these calamities are part of nature since time exist, humans should adjust to nature and to its consequences. Earth is in nature is compose of fault lines that will cause an earthquakes. This thing are happening and starts to happen long time ago. Any place on earth that have these fault lines are subject to an earthquake, humans should adjust on the earth nature. What is happening now is that human build concrete and tall buildings and sky scrappers, can these scenario is an adjustment to the nature of the earth? It is premature to blame God,why, because people already know that earth is prone to quake, but still we build those huge buildings for our conveniences.

Of course not!! That's not true.. God is not responsible for the disasters that is happening in us.. SIN is what makes all these disasters and worst things happening in us.. On a very simple level, who is responsible for a car accident?? is it the passengers or the driver?? Of course the answer would be the driver, since he isn't taking extra care while driving.. and who's gonna pay for the driver's sin?? it would be the passengers.. either they die on that car accident or they survive because of the reckless driver.. Sometimes life's unfairness is caused by the evilness of others.. that's the law of life and we can't change that.. but despite everything, we should always keep in mind that God is always there for us.. He is best seen in the volunteers, rescuers, in those who are willing to help.. with their presence, truly GOD IS STILL THERE.. in the hearts of those who BELIEVE.. I hope we all don't lose faith and hope in God, because it's true that God is real... :( you just have to BELIEVE.. sin is the reason why disasters are happening.. not God.. and we should understand that our home is not Earth that's why we experience uncomfort. =( our home is in heaven, so we should only fix on eyes on heaven (ON ETERNAL THINGS) and not on the negative things that are happening around us.. If we only realize these truths, and if everyone will cease on their wicked ways; life would be more beautiful.. :( so I hope everyone realizes this, I know it's hard and risky to do this, but all we gotta do is BELIEVE.. and have a better picture of God through listening to His words :)

God is responsible for everything that happens, however, we are not smart enough to understand the reason why.

I don't think its just the reaction of Mother Earth to teach us a lesson. Every action has its opposite reaction. We choice to pollute the environment and never give importance to it. Now we are blaming others about whats happening to us, but in fact its our own fault. Its our fault that so much garbage are put in our rivers, so much fuels are burned, so much trees are cut and so much land are cultivated. Its us and not God who made all of this horrible things to our nature. And now, Earth is telling us to stop it and do something about it.
